The Seniors Ministry of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church meet each Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
It is a spiritually enlightenment group for those persons in their “golden” years to come together in worship and fellowship.
The ministry delves into spiritual enrichment by sharing God’s word in friendship and fun; and, the ministry also addresses the physical and mental health of older adults as well as their safety and other measures of well-being. We do so by providing speakers on various subjects such as diet and exercise, and tips on living a full and healthy life.
Breakfast is provided from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Lunch is served following the day’s program activities.
Laughter and fun are key to a well-rounded existence for anyone, and the Seniors Ministry is a station-stop for the young at heart. All seniors at Mt. Zion are invited to take part in this ministry, and seniors from all other churches and denominations are also welcome to become a part.
The group travels from time to time, and takes outings to local events, restaurants and other establishments.
